Last updated: 2026-10-28 · 2 min read · 450 words

Quick answer

A 60 × 90 cm giclée reproduction of The Path through the Irises, printed with archival pigment inks on 380 gsm cotton canvas. The rolled version ships in a rigid tube; the framed version arrives stretched on a 3.5 cm frame, set in a solid-wood float frame, with hanging hardware fitted.

Both are reproductions. Neither is an original, a limited edition, or signed. If a listing anywhere describes a Monet canvas print as an investment, that listing is lying to you.

Hanging it properly

RoomWhy it worksWatch out for
Living roomNeutral walls let the palette carry the roomDirect sun on one side will fade the warm tones first
BedroomLow-contrast works read well in dim lightAvoid hanging above a radiator
HallwayA single large work anchors a narrow spaceCheck the hanging height — 145 cm to centre is a good default
KitchenOnly if well ventilatedGrease and steam will settle on unglazed canvas

Keeping it in good condition

Keep it out of direct sunlight. Pigment inks are rated for decades under glass or in normal indoor light, but ultraviolet is what ends prints early, and a south-facing wall with no blind will do visible damage within a few years.

Dust with a dry, soft brush or a microfibre cloth. Never use a wet cloth on unglazed canvas, and never spray cleaner onto the surface — it wicks into the weave and leaves a tide mark.

If it arrives damaged

Photograph the tube or box before opening it if there is visible crush damage, then photograph the print. Send both to us within 14 days and we replace it. Canvas prints travel well, but a tube that has been compressed in transit will leave creases that do not hang out.

Sizing it for a real wall

A 60 × 90 cm print needs about 60 cm of clear wall on each side to breathe, and it wants to hang so that its centre sits at roughly eye level — 145 cm from the floor is the usual figure. Above a sofa, the bottom edge should clear the back by 15–25 cm, not sit right on it.

If the wall is wider than 3 m, one 60 × 90 cm work will look lost. Either pair it with a second print from the same series, hung 8–10 cm apart, or go up a size. A single small picture on a large empty wall is the most common hanging mistake there is.
